2005 Toyota Land Cruiser

The 2005 Land Cruiser is a 4-door, 8-passenger luxury sport-utility, available
in one trim only, the 4X4. Similar to the 2004 2005 Land Cruiser include the Acura
MDX, the Land Rover Discovery, and the Volvo XC90.
The 2005 model is equipped with a standard 4.7-liter, V8, 235-horsepower engine
and a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive Added features for the 2005
model are: full-time 4-wheel-drive system with locking center differential; independent
double-wishbone front suspension with torsion bar springs and stabilizer bar;
4-link rear suspension with coil springs, stabilizer bar and semi-floating axle;
engine speed-sensing power-assisted rack-and-pinion.
The Land Cruiser has power-assisted 4-piston front/2-piston rear ventilated disc
brakes, hydraulic brake booster with Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), Electronic
Brake-force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist. ABS operates in high and low
ranges.
This power vehicle comes in 4.7-liter DOHC 32-valve EFI V8, 235 hp @ 4,800 rpm,
320 lb.-ft. @ 3,400 rpm; electronic, with Toyota Direct Ignition (TDI). For 2005,
the Land Cruiser comes in 5-speed electronically controlled automatic overdrive
(ECT) with second-gear start mode and power mode. It has also a unitized steel
body on 9-member ladder frame.
